This is for individuals that for one reason or the other could not seat for the Examination while in Secondary school or for Adult Education. The Waec private is otherwise called WAEC GCE and the Exam is conducted within Nov/Dec of Every year unlike the Normal May/June Waec Examination for Secondary School level.
The registration fee as at 2018 is N13,950 and a commission of N500 to banks and registration period lasts for 7weeks. Candidates that wish to register must complete the registration within 2week of opening the account online. Walk-in Candidates that wish to write this Exam after the deadline are to pay N25,000 instead.
Qualification to sit for Waec Private Examination.
To sit for Waec private candidates' examination, any one of the following categories may enter for the Exam.- Those who have passed the Teachers’ Grade two examination;
- Those who have attempted the WASSCE in previous years;
- Those who have attempted the GCE and obtained a pass in at least three subjects.
How to Check Waec Private Result
Checking Waec private result is not quit different from the way you check normal Waec May/June result. You can see that hereTo check Waec Private result;
- Visit WAEC Result Website www.waecdirect.org
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination No. (7 digit center no + 3 digit candidate no.)
- Select the year of your Examination. eg 2018
- Select the Examination type; in this case Private Candidate Result
- Enter the Serial Number of the Scratch Card found at the reverse side of the Scratch Card.
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
- Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
